The Bible We believe the Bible is the inspired and infallible Word of God. The Bible is the only God-given authority we have; and all doctrine, faith, hope, and instruction for the church must be based on and harmonize with the Bible. "All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work." (2 Tim 3:16-17) It should be read and studied by people everywhere. "...no prophecy of Scripture is of any private interpretation, for prophecy never came by the will of man, but holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the Holy Spirit." (2 Pet 1:20-21)
The Triune God We believe in the triune God as eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. "Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age. (Matt. 28:19-20)
The Deity of Jesus Christ We believe He was born of a virgin, He led a sinless life, He performed miracles, He died on the cross to save us, He rose from the grave and ascended to the right hand of the Father. We believe that He is now sitting at he right hand of the Father as our High Priest, our Intercessor and our Advocate. One day He will return in Glory.
The Baptism of the Holy Spirit We believe in the Baptism of the Holy Spirit which Jesus received when He was baptized and which the apostles received on the day of Pentecost. We believe in the continuing ministry of the Holy Spirit as evidenced in charismatic gifts and ministries and in His fruit in the life of the believer. (Acts 1:5,1:8; 2:1-4)
The Creation & Fall of Man In the beginning God created man innocent, pure and holy; but through the sin of disobedience, Adam and Eve, the first of the human race, fell from their holy state, and God banished them from Eden. By the disobedience of one man sin entered into the world. (Gen.1:27, Rom. 3:23,5:12)
Repentance & Conversion True forgiveness of sins and conversion is obtained by genuine repentance, which includes confessing and forsaking of sins. We are justified by faith in the Lord Jesus Christ (Rom.5:1). John the Baptist preached repentance, Jesus proclaimed it, and the Apostles emphasized it to both Jews and Gentiles. (Acts 2:38, 11:18, 17:30). The word "repentance" comes from several Greek words which mean, change of views and purpose, change of heart, change of mind, change of life, to transform, etc.
Divine Healing We believe that divine healing is obtained on the basis of the Atonement. The suffering of the Lord Jesus Christ paid for the healing of our bodies, as much as for the salvation of our souls. "With His stripes we are healed" (Is. 53:5) "He Himself took our infirmities and bore our sicknesses" (Matt 8:17). see also: 1 Peter2:24.
Deliverance We believe Satan is a real being. He was created as an angel but fell from grace. We believe that demons are real and can have a negative influence on humans. People, including Christians, can be bothered by demons, however at the Name of Jesus, proclaimed by a believer, demons must flee. (Mark 16:17)
Counseling We believe that people can be helped to overcome hurts from the past and difficulties in the present through pastoral, professional and lay counseling that is based on the Word of God. We believe that participation in the Body of Christ offers the resources and spiritual gifts necessary for healing.
Holiness We believe in sanctification and holiness of heart. We believe that, since God asks us to be holy, it is possible, and that the Holy Spirit helps us to lead the overcoming life God has design for the Church. (1 Thes.4:3;Heb.12:14)
Water Baptism & Communion The ordinances of baptism by immersion in water and the observance of the Lord’s Supper are practiced in our local assembly. (Acts 2:38; 1 Cor.11:23-25)
The Second Coming of Jesus Christ That Jesus is coming again in person, just as He went away, is clearly stated in the Bible, and was preached in the early Christian church by the apostles. He will return in power and great glory and in His present and everlasting dominion. (Matt. 24, Acts 1:11, 3:19-21, I Cor. 11:26, 4:1-2, Heb. 2:14, Rom 11:25-27).
