Advance takes place on Wednesday nights at Love Joy Gospel Church. Be sure to sign up for the class that most interests you each quarter. Don't forget to bring the kids! Kids grades K to 6th grade and Youth will also be meeting at the same time. Childcare is available for preschoolers.

Discipleship is the process by which disciples grow in the Lord Jesus Christ and are equipped by the Holy Spirit, who resides in our hearts, to overcome the pressures and trials of this present life and become more and more Christlike.

A Study of God’s Attributes

“What is God Like?”  There was no question more important to Moses, David, Paul and others in the Bible.  And no question more important to us!   Come on a journey into God’s heart to know about Him and a desire to know Him more intimately.

Hearing God’s Voice

Through journaling you can learn to hear God’s voice and develop an awareness of God’s voice in every area of your business, ministry and personal life. This practical and interactive 4 week class will focus on; preparing yourself to journal, how to receive from the Holy Spirit, writing down your prayers, and much more. Through this biblical concept (Habakkuk 2:1&2), you can take your pen and paper and turn your attention toward the Lord, seeking His face.  You will be amazed when you journal!

Children’s Class

Bible Stories, action-packed games and crafts. All kids can come and have fun and make friends.

Worship Leadership

A course of practical and Biblical principles for the ministry of worship leading in the local church. This is a ‘hands-on’ course for the beginner and seasoned alike! Everyone will have opportunities to practice in a lab format and have their worship leading skills evaluated. Elim Bible Institute accredited course.

Changes That Heal

This discussion group will equip participants to be healthy, mature, loving, adult Christians with the goal of living happily and intelligently from the inside out. You’ll read one chapter per week and answer questions in a workbook.  This 12 week course will be held in 2 parts.

Doorway Course

This 4 week course is designed to help you explore who we are at Love Joy Gospel Church, what we believe and how you fit into the life of our church. Whether you have been here a while or just started coming to Love Joy, this course covers our history, our vision, our mission, our core values and our distinctives. What’s unique about us? At the end of this course you are welcome to become Members of Love Joy.

You Matter More Than You Think

What a woman needs to know about the difference she makes.

Do you wonder if your life makes a difference in this world? The truth is, God created each of us as an original.  Whether you know it or not, you are already making a distinctive difference by the life you live. This study will help you see that the more you understand the difference you are making, the bigger that difference will be.

Discovering Church Life

This 8 week class is designed to teach you the foundational truths concerning life in the local church, the corporate church, and the Kingdom of God. This series is the next step after the Doorway Course, and is required for all members that would like to serve on one of Love Joy’s Ministry Teams. (This class was formerly called ‘Foundation Truth’)
