Members

At Love Joy, we consider our members (or those who want to become members) a part of our covenant family. Here are some of the resources that are available:

WHAT DO I DO WHEN . . .

… we have a baby.

  • Call the church office: 651-0400.
  • In response to your call we would like to:
  • Announce your good news in church (with picture if you e-mail one to office@lovejoy.org.)
  • If you need it, our Helping Hands team could arrange dinners for your family for several evenings, brought in by people in the church. Please let us know if you would like this to be done.

… a family member dies.

  • Call the church office: 651-0400
  • Call us even if it is an extended family member who does not attend Love Joy Church who has passed away. In response to your calls we would like to:
  • Have the Pastors, staff and intercessors in the church be praying for you.
  • One of the pastors will call you and help with funeral details if that is needed.
  • Depending on the need, our Helping Hands team could arrange limited help with meals.

… an accident or serious illness occurs in my immediate family.

  • Call the church office: 651-0400. In response to your call we would like to:
  • Have the Pastors, staff and intercessors in the church be praying for you.
  • Have a Pastor call and/or visit. Depending on the need, our Helping Hands team could arrange limited help with.

… I’m in the hospital. 

  • Call the church office: 651-0400. In response to your call we would like to:
  • Have the Pastors, staff and intercessors in the church be praying for you.
  • Have a Pastor or healing team member visit you.
  • Depending on the need, our Helping Hands team could arrange limited help with meals.

… we are moving. 

  • Call your home group leader, as they may be able to provide help on moving day, as well as a meal for the day if needed.

… we are facing a personal, marriage or family crisis. 

  • Call one of the pastors (651-0400) and share your concern. The Pastors are available to meet with you personally for counsel and prayer.
  • Your need can also be placed on the prayer list if you would like.
  • The pastors may recomment professional counseling, a marriage course or other resources.

… we are facing a financial crisis or having a financial problem. 

  • Call  one of the pastors (651-0400). They may refer you to one of several people in the church who can help you with financial counseling.
  • Financial classes are offered from time to time.
  • Benevolence is available on a limited basis, coordinated through your church office.

… we have a prayer need. 

  • Call the church office: 651-0400 or e-mail office@lovejoy.org and your prayer request will be placed on a list which goes to the Pastors, staff, and intercessors.

… we’re thinking about getting married. 

  • Call the church office: 651-0400 and we will assist you in setting up an appointment with one of the pastors for pre-marital counseling and to schedule the wedding.

… we just need help. 

  • Call your home group leader.
  • Call the church office: 651-0400 to speak to one of the pastors.

… we’re feeling a sense of divine dissatisfaction leading us to believe it may be time for a change in churches. 

  • Call one of the pastors (651-0400) and express your feelings and ask for prayer and counsel as you’re making this decision;
  • We can help you make a stronger transition to another church if that’s how the Lord is leading.
  • If there are unresolved conflicts with anyone in the church, attempt to reconcile with them before you leave.
  • If you decide to leave, call the office to arrange for a time that this church can pray for you and send you out with its blessing.
  • Remember:  change is a part of growth and your decision to change churches is not a threat to us, but rather an opportunity to serve you.
  • If there is something that Love Joy Church could do differently that would benefit us in the future, please share that with the Pastor.
